Physical installation on a typical landed home is often measured in days once materials are on site. Solar ATAP application, TNB documentation and metering can add weeks around that work. Timelines vary with authority processing and site complexity.
Solar ATAP is the Solar Accelerated Transition Action Programme for Peninsular Malaysia. It replaced Net Energy Metering as the current consumer rooftop programme from 1 January 2026. Homes and businesses use solar first for their own load and may receive bill credits for eligible exported energy in the same billing period.
Rooftop systems need periodic inspection, cleaning where soiling is heavy, and checks on inverters, cabling and monitoring. Inhome Solar provides operations and maintenance support after installation. Frequency depends on the site and the package selected.
Yes. Panels generate from daylight, not only direct sun. Output is lower on overcast days. Malaysia’s tropical climate still produces useful annual generation, but month-to-month figures vary.
