How Many Solar Panels Does a House Need?
Panel count for a Malaysian home depends on the TNB bill, daytime use, roof area and panel wattage — not a single number for every terrace house.
Start with energy, then the roof
kWp is the design target. Panel count is kWp divided by the wattage of the chosen module, then rounded to what fits between ridges, water tanks and shade.

ATAP caps for domestic accounts
Default domestic maxima in the current guideline are 5 kW (single phase) and 15 kW (three phase), with CCC if you go higher. A huge roof does not automatically allow an unlimited array.
Terrace, semi-D, bungalow
Terrace roofs are often narrower and more shaded by the next house. Semi-Ds and bungalows may offer more unshaded plane, and also more reasons to check structure. None of those house types has a fixed panel number.
